The merry bustle of Europe’s Christmas markets delight all. The fragrance of Glühwein and toasted almonds, hot roasted chestnuts and freshly baked apples fill the air, and the vendors' gingerbread hearts, nativity figures, Christmas tree ornaments, toys and snug knitwear are irresistible.

During this 8 day, 7-night tour of Germany and Austria, enjoy holiday delicacies, mulled wine, and Christmas music as you stroll through some of Europe’s most iconic Christmas Markets set in cobblestoned plazas filled with holiday cheer and festivities.

Right to Cancel - Client shall be entitled to cancel this Agreement only upon the terms set forth in this Section. Client expressly acknowledges and agrees that the tour group representative communicating directly with ST in connection with the tour may cancel the tour on behalf of Client if such representative determines that it is necessary or desirable, whether as the result of an Act of God or otherwise, that the tour be cancelled.  

Cancellation Schedule is subject to the terms of this Section, and provided that Client has made all payments required under the Payment Schedule, Client may cancel this Agreement by providing written notice of the cancellation to ST. Upon providing such notice, subject to Section below, Client is entitled to return of any deposits less the applicable cancellation fee as set forth in the Cancellation Schedule set forth below. 

The following per person fees apply for cancellations: 

At any time prior to 120 days before departure: the first $250 per person is non-refundable; 

From 120 to 91 days before departure the cancellation fee is 20% of the tour price per person; From 90 to 61 days before departure the cancellation fee is 25% of the tour price per person; From 60 to 31 days before departure the cancellation fee is 50% of the tour price per person; From 30 days before departure until the departure date the cancellation fee is the full tour price per person. 

Overnight flight from 'HOME' airport to Frankfurt, Germany.  All participant MUST arrive into Frankfurt, Germany

Morning arrival into Frankfurt airport. After customs formalities the group will be welcomed by tour director and board our waiting motor-coach. When we arrive in Rothenburg odt we will walk to the town square and enjoy some free time in the market before we transfer to our hotel and check in. Tonight enjoy a welcome to Germany dinner. Today is dedicated to exploring medieval Rothenburg. After breakfast it’s free time to wander through Germany’s favorite picture book city. Be sure to go to the famous Käthe Wohlfahrt Christmas shop, the Crime and Punishment Museum, and of course the Christmas Market. After dinner we meet in the town square to go on the popular Night Watchman Tour.

Morning transfer to Munich. Upon arrival we will enjoy a guided walking tour of historic downtown Munich. Munich’s Marienplatz is alight with one of Germany’s largest Christmas Markets. Don’t forget to stop in to the world famous Hofbräu Haus for lunch! Take some time to shop the Münchener Christkindlmarkt, visit the iconic Frauenkirche with it twin domed spires, and peruse the famous and historic Viktualienmarkt, a charming outdoor market area just off of the main square.

Today we’re off to Salzburg, the city of Mozart. On the way we will drive through farming country, then take a horse-drawn wagon ride up the hill to tour the fairy-tale castle that inspired the Disneyland Castle: Schloss Neuschwanstein. We'll enjoy lunch before bidding Germany “Auf wiedersehen”. Later this afternoon we'll arrive in Salzburg and check into our hotel. We'll end our day with an orientation walk through the historic center.  Dinner on your own

After breakfast we will enjoy a tour of historic Salzburg with a local guide - stroll under the wrought-iron signs of the Getreidegasse, stop by the Mozart Geburtshaus, the house where Mozart was born, visit the Salzburg Cathedral, and walk through the Mirabell Gardens. For Sound of Music fans, a verse of Do-Re-Mi may be a must here. After the tour concludes, enjoy free time to explore the Salzburger Christkindlmarkt. This afternoon is a great time to visit the hilltop fortress, or attend one of the many evening concerts going on around the city. Group Dinner provided

Morning transfer to Vienna. After lunch we get back on the bus and meet a local guide for a driving tour of the city. After getting acquainted with the city by bus, we will continue our tour on foot. Stops will be made at the Christmas markets at City Hall and Maria Theresienplatz.  After the tour concludes enjoy the fine dining that Vienna has to offer and a stop into one of the many famous coffee shops. Tonight is a great night to attend a concert or an opera on your own.  Dinner on your own

On our final tour day together we will go to Schönbrunn Palace, former summer residence of the ruling Habsburg Family. During the holidays season there is a Christmas Market on the palace grounds. We will take the tour of the palace and will spend some time wandering the expansive gardens and market. Group Farewell Dinner provided.

Today’s activities will be determined by the flight itinerary.  Departure should be made from Vienna International Airport. After checking out of the hotel, we part ways - Fröhliche Weinachten and Auf Wiedersehen!
